Master Plan Update
The Powell Municipal Airport (POY) Airport Master Plan is being undertaken to evaluate the airport's capabilities and role, to forecast future aviation demand, and to plan for the timely development of new or expanded facilities that may be required to fulfill that plan.

Municipal Airport
Located eight miles north of Powell, Wyoming, Powell Municipal Airport sits on 820 acres and features three runways: Runway 13/31 is asphalt and measures 6,200 feet long by 100 feet wide; turf Runway 3/21, is 2,623 feet long by 100 feet wide; and turf Runway 17/35 is 2,709 feet long by 100 feet wide.


About the
Master Plan
The City of Powell has contracted with Coffman Associates, a national airport planning firm, to prepare an update to the airport’s Master Plan. Through coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Wyoming Department of Transportation - Bureau of Aeronautics, the Master Plan's aim is to properly plan for the timely development of the airport to ensure its continued viability from a functional, social, and environmental perspective.
